Graduate School
The Graduate School at Nagoya Zokei University offers two fields of study: Art Expression & Creation and Art Expression & Conception. These programs allow students to pursue their chosen area from different perspectives, preparing them to become researchers, educators, artists, and designers. The Graduate School supports motivated students who wish to explore new possibilities of artistic expression.
Research Fields
Art Expression & Creation
This field focuses on artworks as the outcome of expression. Students refine their techniques and skills while conducting research into the role of artistic expression in contemporary society. They develop personal themes and methods of practice, seeking to define their own artistic vision and explore how their work connects with the wider world.

Art Expression & Conception
This field emphasizes the ideas and processes behind expression rather than the creation of tangible objects. Students research and experiment with a wide range of methods and media, moving beyond traditional frameworks of art and design. Their work often takes the form of concepts, plans, and processes, highlighting the importance of ideas in artistic practice. Research combines investigation, documentation, planning, and production, and may also include written theses.
