◆TRANSIT
TRANSIT is described as “der Transit: passing through“ in German dictionary.
This title was first used for the international exchange exhibition between Dusseldorf Art Academy and Nagoya Zokei University of Art & Design in 2001. It includes the
meaning of the deepening understanding by which works passing through between two countries. The title “TRANSIT” has been used since then, and the exhibition has
developed good bonds between the students of participating universities.
The works are in a variety of sizes and forms. Some are small which can be packed and carried in the suitcase. Some are assembled at the site or even produced in the
environment of the host country. Students learn a lot from their experience through the communication.
TRANSIT is the practical project working toward the human resources development for next-generation.

◆TRANSITとは
TRANSITはドイツ語の辞書にも『der Transit:通過』と記載されています。
2001年名古屋造形大学とデュッセルドルフ芸術アカデミーとの間で行われた国際交流展でこのタイトルは初めて用いられました。
作品がお互いの国々を通過しながら理解を深めるという意味合いが込められていたこの名称は、その後も使い続けられ、共催大学の学生間に強い絆を作ってきました。
展示作品はスーツケースで運べる小さなものや、現地で組み立てが可能なもの、その国の環境でしか制作できないものなど様々です。
共催大学の条件や外国語でのコミュニケーションを通し、参加学生達は多くのものを学んでいきます。
TRANSITは次世代の人材育成を目指す実践プロジェクトになっています。
